Some of the best photos are taken while we are not looking. Nothing is better than when your families style comes shining through a photo. I do things a little different than a traditional photographer. I prefer to capture all kinds of moments, smiley ones, cute ones, funny ones, furry ones all the real moments of life. I can’t wait to meet with you and your family and capture a few of your moments together.
Session Information:
All my photo sessions are on location sessions. You may choose your home or a favorite outdoor location like a park or hiking place where ever you are most comfortable but the location is up to you. If you are looking for some ideas just call me. We can make just about anything work great.
Prepare to spend any where from 1 to 2 hours with me. This gives us plenty of time to have any feeding, changing or silly breaks we may need. The best way to start is to play and hang out for a bit with your little one to get them comfortable with me and my camera equipment. I like to keep it a relaxed environment so if at any time through the session you have ideas, feel free to let me know. After all this is for you and your memories.
If you are unsure of ideas not to worry this is why I am here. I will walk around your chosen location and let you know where the best natural lighting is. (Don’t be surprised if I do a little re arranging of your furniture)
I find it best to work with props that you have around the house that mean something to you and your family. It can be as simple as your child playing with there favorite blanket or toy or even the family pet. Can even be a dresser, desk or chair. I will always bring some props with me(a few favorites) sometimes it is the new props that keep the little ones interested.
Clothing:
Try to keep it simple. Less is always more in photos. You want the faces in the photos to shine through. Avoid busy prints and large logos. (unless you are making a funky statement)
Jeans and bare feet are a favorite.
Simple and coordinating is great when more than one person is in the pictures. Light colors are best.
Always nice with little ones to have a few clothing options.
The little little ones are great in just a diaper and some shots of the naked little bums can be great keepsakes for moms and dads. Just a solid color one piece shirt to cover the diaper looks great too. If you want to use clothing just try to get it to fit, so that the attention of the photo will still be the little one not the big clothes.
